What We Were Up to Last Week

We did a few really fun things this last week. On Monday night, Jay had somewhere to be so the kids and I made a gingerbread house. They decorated it all by themselves and I think they really enjoyed it. Madelyn especially enjoyed taste-testing the candy!

We took a field trip to the Wilmington International Airport on Thursday. We learned about the planes that fly in and out of our airport and saw a military plane practice landing several times. We also learned about the process of checking in, going through security (we didn't actually go through but we did watch several people go through that process) and were just in time at the baggage claim to see luggage come off the plane! I think our favorite part of the field trip was touring the fire department. They told us about their trucks and even did a demonstration for us.

On Saturday, our family came for a visit and we visited Enchanted Airlie at Airlie Gardens. The lights were so pretty and the working lego train/village was amazing!

I didn't have my camera on the right setting for the lights but I thought this was cute of the kids!

Last but not least, here is a cute picture of the girls in their Christmas outfits Sunday. I told them to put their hands on their hips. Madelyn must be a little confused about where her hips are!

  1. "dislike" Bailey in her Christmas outfit, because she looks too grown!!! (she's gorgeous of course though). And I LOL'd at Madelyn!!
