The BIG 4-0 and Miller's Court of Honor

Yesterday, I celebrated my (40th) birthday!  My family and friends made me feel very special!  I woke up to a cup of hot chocolate and a bag of goodies that had been left by the door by a sweet friend, and my favorite donuts for breakfast (complete with a candle).  Jay surprised me by taking the day off work.  We drove to Myrtle Beach, ate, and piddled around some of our favorite shops.

On the drive to MB, we saw a gorilla holding a candle--just for me?!
(What in the world is Miller doing?)

Our pecan snack had a candle...

my soup had a candle...

even my fruit slushie had a candle!!!

Then we went to Miller's Boy Scouts Court of Honor, where he was awarded his second class rank.

I couldn't have asked for a better 40th birthday!  I have the best family and friends a girl could ask for.  And celebrating Miller's achievement with him was icing on the cake!
