Cape Fear Museum--Native American Field Trip

I heard about a field trip through a local homeschool group to the Cape Fear Museum in Wilmington. It was about the Native Americans of this area and since we are studying NC History this year, I thought it would be a great field trip. It was very interesting (but more of an elementary age type trip so Miller didn't enjoy it as much as the girls did, however, he did take part and had a good attitude about it!). They had to match pictures to their seasons

And identify artifacts

We played a game that was popular among Native American women of that day. It involved tossing rocks into the air and for every rock that fell blue-side up, you were given a certain number of sticks.

After the class time was over, we walked around the museum for a few minutes. This one's for Daddy
