The kids really got into Valentine's Day this year! On Friday we went to our neighbor's house for a Valentine party (she has 2 boys and she homeschool's them). The kids had fun playing outside in the warm weather and then they decorated heart cookies. Something funny...after decorating their cookies (they each had 6 cookies of various sizes) I told them they could eat one cookie each. They both chose the smallest cookie on the plate! I thought for sure they'd choose the big one. On Saturday night I cooked a special meal complete with sparkling grape juice and chocolate mousse. Bailey was my sous chef and I think she really enjoyed helping me cook (and especially keeping the menu a secret from the boys).
