It was a little unsettling to me because Miller wanted to boogie board so he had to go out quite a way to get to the waves. But he wore his life vest and the waves weren't really big enough to ride so he ended up spending most of his time with us in the shallow pool.
beach bums!
Miller and I had a little date on Tuesday night. We went out to eat and then downtown to take some pictures of the statues and buildings (his idea). We also got some ice cream at Kilwin's. I love that he enjoys photography like me!
Madelyn loves her new toys that she got for her birthday. She knows they are HERS and looks like such a big girl playing with them. Here she is with her phone. She holds it up to her head and says "hey" and "bye". Too funny!

Madelyn is a cruising machine now! She went from the baby gate (to the left of this picture) all the way to the chair. She is getting into everything!
She had her 1 year appointment this week and she weighs 22 lbs and is 30 inches long. The doctor was pleased with her head and said that she could see a big difference in the shape. She said it could take a year for it to round out completely.
Miller also had is 8 year appointment this week. The doctor was pleased with him as well. The nurse told us that Miller needed one shot which gave him quite a scare but it turned out that he was up to date so no shots! What a relief!
