First Day of School 2013-2014

Today was the first day of school for the Pope family.  We had a great (and easy) first day.  We are starting off slow and working our way into everything, because quite frankly, it's going to be a major adjustment for me teaching 3 now!  Yes, Madelyn started Kindergarten!  We got off to a rocky start (she doesn't like to have her picture taken) but I wasn't giving up so easily!  When I suggested we take the pink chair outside, she got excited!  Yay for the pink chair!

But of course we had to take a picture by the garage; it's a tradition and I like to see how the kids grow from year to year.

Miller was a great helper today.  He helped Madelyn with a few file folder games and he read a chapter of her science book to her.  I hope that trend continues! I think Miller and Bailey's favorite thing today was their writing lesson and Madelyn hasn't decided what she enjoyed most about her first day of school.
