Snow Day 2

We woke up this morning to a solid sheet of ice outside! The girls were ready to go out at 9am but it was just so cold. We stayed in, did a little school, and watched some tv. After lunch, Jay got the skis out of the attic. Our ski boots didn't handle being stored in the attic for so many years (mine had crumbled and Jay's were cracked) but Jay was able to tie his boots to the skis. Bailey was the guinea pig.

She skied into the ditch and the boots broke. Oh well. It was worth a try! After that Jay pulled the girls around on the skim board again. I seriously think Madelyn could be happy living like this all winter. She couldn't get enough of it. I love her smile and giggles!

Bailey wasn't as into it today. She was sore and tired and she said one day of snow was enough for her. She'd rather be on the boat! A girl after my heart.

The girls decided to give Daddy a ride on the ice.

After Bailey and I came inside, Madelyn helped Daddy shovel the driveway. Like I said, she could have stayed outside all day.
