Snow Day at the Beach--Day 1

It snowed this week! Well, we got more ice than snow. It only happens once every few years around here so we get a little excited about it! Madelyn has really enjoyed it. In fact, I think she could have stayed outside all day. Here are some pictures from day 1. We used Rubbermaid lids and Miller's skim board to pull the kids around. After lunch, we walked over to play with the Cowell's. There is a wood ramp and bike trail in the woods near their house and that's where we did some sledding. We had lots of fun and lots of laughs with them!

Jay would "sling shot" the kids across the yard by pulling them really fast to the ditch, and then they'd let go of the rope, go into the ditch, and up the other side, across the street into the neighbor's ditch. It was so fun!
